Can I bring my dog?
No, none of the experiences are suitable for dogs.
Are there specific COVID-19 measures that I should take into account?
Different rules may apply for each route. We would like to refer you to the federal government's website or to those of the locations mentioned in the experience.
Do I need a telephone holder on my bike for the cycling routes?
Yes, for all cycling experiences we recommend you use a telephone holder mounted on the handlebars. Since 1 July 2019, holding a phone in your hand while cycling is prohibited in the Netherlands. With a telephone holder you can safely navigate the route via the Shary app. We recommend you step off your bike and find a safe spot to view and listen to the videos and podcasts.
Does a route use my mobile data?
Yes, all content is only available online. This means that mobile data is required to view and listen to the videos and audio. You can also view the content at home when you're connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Can I purchase the route for someone else or as a gift?
Unfortunately, it's not yet possible to buy or gift a route for someone else. You can only buy the route for yourself because an account must be created where an email address must be entered and confirmed.
Tips before starting
For all routes, we advise you to set out with a fully charged phone. You can take a power bank with you to recharge your phone if needed. Parts of the walks are on unpaved roads, so good footwear is recommended. When you walk in the dark or at dusk, a good flashlight is necessary. For safety reasons, never watch the video material when you are in traffic, but sit on a bench instead.
